1. Tom Yum Kung ต้มยำกุ้ง Hot and sour soup with shrimp
It is the most famous national dish of Thailand. It is the soup which is made of many variety of herbs such as kaffir lime leaves ,ginger ,galangal oil ,lemon grass ,and chilli ,and shrimp. Because of the taste of this kind of food (sour ,salty ,and spicy in one food), majority of the foreigners who come to Thailand usually satisfy to this dish. When you come to visit Thailand, it is not expensive. It is about 50 baht for one dish of Tom Yum Kung. (1.50 $ or 1 Euro)

In my opinion, it is the most crucial dish of Thailand that gain a lot of income for our country. It is my favorite dish. I have read from one book. It told me that Tom Yum Kung probably help us to prevent from Cancer because some herbs are affected to Cancer. It is really hard to believe ,but minority of the people have tried ,and they do not suffer from Cancer anymore.
2. Pad Thai ผัดไทย Fried noodle
The second one is Pad Thai. It is the noodle which fries with some common ingredients such as sugar ,salt ,tofu ,beansprouts ,and shrimps. Although, the ingredients are very simple ,the taste is incredibly delicious. Cooking Pad Thai is not hard. Majority of the foreiners who visit Thailand can eat Pad Thai on the roadside restaurant. In addition, price is not too high. It is also cheaper than Tom Yum Kung. The price is only 20-35 Baht.

Personally, it is the second popular dish of Thai food. When I was young, I did hate Pad Thai because I do not like to eat beansprouts. However, my mother forced me to eat. In the end, I think Pad Thai is the food that full of delicious. How I do not eat when I was young. Finally, Pad Thai also become my favorite dish.
3. Moo Satay หมูสะเต้ะ Satay pork
The third one is Satay pork. It is a piece of pork stick with piece of wood. The process to do Satay pork is quite difficult to do.There are 2 parts of Satay pork. First is the pork. Second is the sauce. The price for Satay depends on the quality of the pork and the sauce. The price is about 5-20 Baht.

In my opinion, Satay pork is very fat food because the sauce make of coconut milk and sugar. Therefore, it is not good health for me. However, my parents love to eat Satay pork. They always buy it for us. Therefore, I and my siblings have to eat all of them because my parents force me to eat all of them.
4. Somtam ส้มตำ Papaya Salad
Somtam is normally origined from Eastern part of Thailand. The meal is quite simple to make. The main ingredients are shredded green papaya, chopped green beans, tomoato, dried prawns, unsalted roasted peanuts, chillies, garlic and lime juice. These are all pounded together in a mortar using a pestle. The papaya salad is best served with sticky rice (khao neow) and grilled chicken. When you come to buy Papaya Salad, it is nearly always prepared in front of you. This way you can tell them how many chillies you want! I like mine hot. Papaya Salad with sticky rice from a roadside stall will cost you about 20-30 baht.

Personally,Somtam is very healthy food because it has only a few meat. However, you should not eat it on Summer because you can have a stomachache. The sound it makes is "pok pok". Whenever I hear that sound while walking down the street I always turnaround to look for the Somtam stall.
5. Tod Mun ทอดมัน Fish Cake
Thai Fish Cakes are a common street food in Thailand, and are very flavorful compared to most Western fish cake recipes. They aren't battered, which I find allows for more of the fresh taste of the fish, spices, and herbs to come through. These cakes are best eaten fresh out of the oil while they're still hot and juicy. Served them with or without rice, and accompany with Thai sweet chili sauce, chopped cucumber, fresh coriander, and a squeeze of lime juice. Simply delicious! The price is between 1-20 Baht.

In my opinion, fish cake should eat with the sauce and cucumber. In addition, there is a lot of oil come though the piece of fish cake. The oil make me fatter but the fish cakes' taste really good. The price is not too expensive. It depends where you go to eat.
